IMAGINE... Computerized Quilting with your home sewing machine!!! You can design your own patterns using scanned images or by simply defining point to point sewing or you can download quilting patterns from our website.
     
The PC Quilter is a product that can be used on most "track based" quilting frames/systems. In other words, the sewing machine must be placed on a carriage that moves and stitches on a stationary quilt top/batting/backing. Frames that have a stationary sewing machine and move the quilt WILL NOT WORK with the PC Quilter.

How Does It Work?

The PC Quilter replaces the carriage on most home quilting frames with one that contains motors and electronics. This carriage is then connected to your IBM PC compatible computer through the parallel port. Your home sewing machine sits on top of this carriage, with the arm of the machine over the quilt top.
     
The foot control from the sewing machine is placed inside the PC Quilter carriage. The PC Quilter works just like you do; it pushes on the foot control of the sewing machine and moves the carriage to accurately stitch the selected pattern. Your computer tells the carriage and sewing machine exactly what to do!
     
     
Why buy the PC Quilter?

The PC Quilter is a BETTER alternative than the EXPENSIVE option of hiring a professional machine quilter to quilt a top for you. Many professional machine quilters (with long arm machines) have at least a 3 - 6 month wait for quilting. Within just a couple of months (especially if you share with a friend), a serious quilter can pay for this system in just a few quilts.
     
In addition, if you are using a professional machine quilter, you are usually limited to designs that they can BUY as a printed pantograph while the PC Quilter gives you UNLIMITED design possibilities. While designs are initially limited by the throat depth of your sewing machines once you master the basic techniques, you can easily sew DEEPER than the throat depth of your machine!

The PC Quilter is superior to free motion quilting because
you can get EXCEPTIONAL DETAIL such as the little serrated edges on leaves. Most of us, despite hours of practice can never do better than stippling with free motion quilting. Many of the designs that we see on quilts done with our product could never be done - even by a professional machine quilter. That's why the PC Quilter is so great!

Once you have digitized a pattern for the PC Quilter, you can easily modify it or repeat it in many configurations! For example, you can stretch, rotate, flip or mirror a pattern. You can sew patterns with jumps as well as multiple repeats of continuous patterns.
